For the past year I have been working as an illustrator and researcher with Vidyun Sabhaney. We have been researching traditional storytelling forms in India - Bengali Patua Chitra, Leather Puppetry from Karnataka and Rajasthani Kaavad. An important part of this project is visually documenting these traditions through live sketches of artists and their practice. These images will ultimately be uploaded onto an online archive of all of the information we have gathered during our research. Below is a sample.
